Norma Ford

Norma I. Ford, 73 of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Monday, April 21, 2008, at her home following a lengthy illness. According to her wishes, her body has been cremated. No formal services or visitation will be held. The family also requests no flowers. The Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel of Mt. Pleasant is assisting the family with the arrangements. Born July 10, 1934, in Glenwood, IA, Norma Imogene was the daughter of Ivan and Effie Benedict Steele. She graduated from Glenwood High School. On July 7, 1973, she married Marvin E. Ford in Dallas City, IL. Mrs. Ford was a homemaker. For several years, she operated a home cleaning business, until her health forced her to retire. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Ford of Mt. Pleasant, IA; four daughters, Debra Keck of Danville, IA, Denise Cizek of Ruthven, IA, Brenda Jordan of Westbrook, CT, and Lynda Holliday of Keystone, IA; one sister, Beverly Beardsley of Omaha, NE; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her parents.
