Neal Champeau

Neal F. Champeau, 54, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Friday, May 21, 2010, at his residence. A private family visitation will be held at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel. No formal services will be held. Mr. Champeau's body will be cremated following the visitation. Born June 10, 1955, in New Richmond, WI, Neal Francis was the son of Ervin Joseph and Marion Augusta (Kickhoefer) Champeau. He received his education at the White Bear Lake High School, White Bear Lake, MN. Neal was a carpenter and had worked alongside of his father. He built many match stick sculpture pieces. He enjoyed fishing, camping, writing poetry and working crossword puzzles. Survivors include his father; and six sisters, Patricia Bell of Mt. Vernon, IA, Linda Bishop of Arizona, Judy Watson of Zimmerman, MN, Nancy Champeau-Wendler of Hartland, MN, Joyce Champeau of Anamosa, IA and Kathy Yarger of Carver, MN. He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.
