John Martin

Mr. John W. Martin, 58, of Burlington, Iowa, died on July 13, 2008, in Mt. Pleasant. A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday, July, 19, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Crapo Park in Burlington. Born February 21, 1950, in Sioux City, Iowa, John William was the son of Lyle G. and RoseMary Donhue Martin. John married Joyce Siegsried in 1997, in Hillsboro, Iowa. They later divorced. Mr. Martin had been employed as a janitor with Midwest Janitorial and Service Master. He enjoyed Harley Davidson riding, hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his grandsons. John is survived by one daughter, Jazzmand Martin and two stepsons all of Burlington, Iowa; three sisters, Mary Pat Browning, Terrie Harder, and Nomie Martin all of Sioux City, Iowa. Also surviving are two grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. The Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
